Qigong Seminar – Still & Alive

14 March 10:00 15 March 16:30

Standing Meditation – ZhanZhuang – is one of the most powerful qigong practices. It is also one of the more challenging ones. In this seminar we will explore and practice at least three key ways of doing standing meditation. These three ways could be called \[1\] conscious management of body, energy & mind in stillness, \[2\] no management in stillness and \[3\] spontaneous movement. These approaches will be alternated with moving, sitting or lying down practices, to make it workable for all, without offering up the power of the challenge. Each participant can partially self tailor the balance between workability and challenge.

Sydney Leijenhorst has more then four decades of experience in both practicing and teaching various forms of martial-, healing- and meditative arts. In addition, his background as a physiotherapist and his involvement in modern integral approaches to health, personal development and spiritual practice enable him to offer a broad, deep and integral presentation of this ancient traditional Chinese practice.

Message for the practitioners of Tibetan meditation & yoga @ KenKon, Integral Life and Training Centre and potential guests for the TY session tomorrow:

Dear all,

Unfortunately there is no Tibetan Yoga class tomorrow, September 6. The traffic from here to Hamburg seems more challenging than I was used to. And I have to teach karate from Friday early evening to Sunday afternoon. Therefor I need to leave before 10 h. I realized this too late and was not able to find a replacement for my me in time. My apologies.

If you had any friends that planned to come – alone or with you – please let them know that there is no session, but that they are welcome next Friday.

I look forward to see you again next week at the meditation or yoga classes. Let’s make it a wonderful year!

Warm regards,

Sydney
