Leesgroep Tibetaans Boeddhisme

4 juni 19:30 22:00

Zoals op de achterkant van het boek staat beschreven: “Rob Preeces takes us into the subtleties of meditation within tantric practice.  He guides us into a way of meditation that can free us from much of the complexity of tantra, creating space within practice and enabling us to feel the essence of tantra.  Rob Preece emphasises the need to make awareness of the body and its energy central to meditation.  He introduces a way of practice that directly meets our particular Western psychological nature.  He gives an invaluable insight into the underlying psychological process many of us can experience within practice.”  “We cannot and must not separate the spiritual and psychological process.”

Het is dus niet alleen een boek om over van gedachten te wisselen, het is vooral ook een boek dat wijst op het belang van beoefening.  Rob Preece schrijft: “While it is no simple matter to understand the meaning of the word tantra or vajrayana, it is, I feel, through actual practice rather than intellectual knowledge that we begin to gain a taste of its meaning and effectiveness.  At the heart of tantra is the liberation of our innate pure nature, our buddha-nature.”

Message for the practitioners of Tibetan meditation & yoga @ KenKon, Integral Life and Training Centre and potential guests for the TY session tomorrow:

Dear all,

Unfortunately there is no Tibetan Yoga class tomorrow, September 6. The traffic from here to Hamburg seems more challenging than I was used to. And I have to teach karate from Friday early evening to Sunday afternoon. Therefor I need to leave before 10 h. I realized this too late and was not able to find a replacement for my me in time. My apologies.

If you had any friends that planned to come – alone or with you – please let them know that there is no session, but that they are welcome next Friday.

I look forward to see you again next week at the meditation or yoga classes. Let’s make it a wonderful year!

Warm regards,

Sydney
