3 Workshops in The Netherlands

27, 28 febuary, 1 march 2009
13,14,15 november 2009
5,6,7 maart 2010

We are thrilled to be able to announce two other workshops in 2009/2010. The workshops will be open to both those new to group systems approaches, as well as to those wishing to continue their development and gain new skills in this area.

A core element of the workshops will involve training in the communcation process of ”functional subgrouping”. Functional subgrouping works with regulating the introduction of similarities and differences to group communication patterns.

Each of the workshops will accomodate and integrate people who are new to this kind of work. Lectures introducing systems concepts and their application to groups will be followed-up by experiential sessions. Time will be spend reflecting on the group sessions to see what we have learned about ourselves, the systems we have applied and group dynamics. The workshops will be led in English, informal translation from group members often serves to help those less comfortable in English.

Although the focus of these workshops is on experiential group training, the principles and methods being passed on have very practical applications for working with individual clients or couples, and for working within organizations. One of our main goals is to provide an opportunity to build an ongoing community that is integrating systems methods of working with groups. There is also a dutch ongoing study group to support these workshops with. I hope you’ll join us!

Recommandation of participant:
In the workshops I have met big simplicity and complexity in the same time.
Here and now. Skills and resource orientation. Clear theory behind interventions.
Theory and methods reaching from individual to systems perspective.
I am inspired, impressed and deeply moved by this encounter. Professionally and personally.
I have regained hope in the possibility for releasing locked systemic patterns – and for getting help myself with locked roles in groups.

Merete Holm Brantbjerg
International trainer and supervisor. Co-creator of the Bodynamic system. Psychotherapist MPF

Peter Bernhardt MA, MFT. With 30 years experience, Peter is an adept trainer, teacher and writer in the field of somatic psychology. Over the course of his career he has come to recognize the critical importance of creating and sustaining functional communities and organizations in order to support human growth and development. His journey has led him through an intensive study of group life, particularly over the past 10 years. Most influentially, he has studied with Yvonne Agazarian and her colleagues, who have pioneered an encompassing “systems” theory and method applied to both therapy groups and organizations. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where he teaches group dynamics at JFK University and California Institute of Integral Studies. He leads workshops and groups, and works with couples and individuals in Berkeley, CA.

Locatie: Amsterdam
Investering: € 300,= (incl. Koffie en thee, excl. Lunches)
