Qigong

Qigong (pronounced: chee-kung) or ‘Chinese yoga’ is a Chinese system of health exercises that originated thousands of years ago. Literally, Qigong means something like ‘exercise of life force’. Although the basic exercises of Qigong have health as their primary objective, health is always seen as linked to your spiritual development. The exercises are predominantly relaxed, slow, and concentrated, and take meditative body postures as their starting point. In addition, Qigong also includes breathing exercises and meditation.

Central to this is becoming aware of, strengthening, and regulating the ‘qi’ or life energy. Regular practice of Chinese yoga is beneficial for inner peace, breathing, relaxation, concentration, sensitivity, and more, and can thus provide a new perspective on body, soul, and life.

The two introductory classes will be held at KenKon, Nieuwe Kanaal 11 in Wageningen.

Please ensure you wear comfortable (loose-fitting) clothing.
